The Northeast Probability Seminar is an annual event jointly organized on a rotating basis by the probability groups at the CUNY Graduate Center, Columbia University, and New York University. It showcases current research in probability and related areas and, in particular, provides an excellent opportunity for many early career researchers to present and discuss their work, build connections, and begin new collaborations. The seminar is supported by an NSF grant and by the Mathematics Departments of the hosting institutions.
The 25th Northeast Probability Seminar will take place Thursday November 19 — Friday November 20, 2026 at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University.
The plenary speakers are:
- Ioana Dumitriu (University of California, San Diego)
- Alex Dunlap (Duke University)
- Aukosh Jagannath (University of Waterloo)
- Prasad Tetali (Carnegie Mellon University; ICARM)
Information about partial funding for participants without own grant support (intended primarily for early career participants) will be posted here once the proposal is approved by the NSF.
